I was in my boat off
the above place when I was attacked by
a "Fow keang " boat in which
were
Portuguese and robbed
of all I had.
I and my
crew ten in all;
were
carried
away
to the Barracoon
at Macao. - We arrived there
on
the 14th
April were there against our will; - when in the Barracoons we were
badly fed-
at one time we only had rice, and at another, we were only allowed water - We were taken before the officer, before whom Contracts had to be signed. (i.e. the Procurador) and were told through an interpreter that we must go. We refused,

told that if
we did not
go
we should be sent to work on
the roads,
and
very frightened,
we
agreed to go
on board
a ship.-
